Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) (2021 - 2026)
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is implementing a five years (September 2021 to July 2026) Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project, funded by the World Bank through the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Project Development Objective (PDO) is “To strengthen the learning environments and labour market alignment of priority programs at beneficiary Higher Education Institutions and improve the management of the higher education system”. CVL is fully participating in the implementation of the HEET project activities in areas 1b, 2, 5a and 5c Area 1b: Upgrading learning resources and equipment CVL is participating in development of open education repository (OER) repository and provide Training of Trainers to both technical and academic staff of the UDSM Area 2: Updating curriculum and introducing innovative pedagogical methodologies CVL participated in identifying ICT innovative pedagogical methodologies to be incorporated into new curricula and in the provision of training to academic staff on ICT innovative pedagogical methodologies Area 5a: Developing online learning platforms and digital technology applications (including selecting and customizing Moodle based learning platforms) CVL is participating in customization of Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) and customization of a platform for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) platform Area 5c: Capacity building in the development of online and ODL learning and pedagogy CVL conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) for technical and academic staff on using The upgraded UDSM Moodle LMS and MOOCs

Learning Management System (LMS) Customization and Course development for MJNUAT ( August to October, 2023)
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) and Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MJNUAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a formal agreement of cooperation in Research, Training and Outreach Services. Among other areas, the two parties agreed to exchange under agreed terms and conditions, approved and accredited curricula. To start with, the parties have agreed to exchange the accredited curricula of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (B.Sc in CS) of UDSM to be offered at MJNUAT. Therefore, courses in the B.Sc in CS programme will be delivered to MJNUAT students in a technology enhanced approach. This approach aims to maximise use of educational technologies, minimize management and operational costs. The Moodle LMS has been customized to facilitate the delivery of B.Sc in CS programme to be offered at MJNUAT.
Halostudy LMS with contents for secondary schools in Tanzania (2010 - 2023).

In 2010, CVL in partnership with Halotel mobile operator in Tanzania implemented the Halostudy LMS to enhance teaching and learning in secondary schools by developing multimedia (audio, video, animations and simulations) enhanced content for science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology,) and Mathematics subjects for Form I to Form IV. The content was accessible via www.halostudy.ac.tz for free until October 2023. Users were required to create account to be able to access the content.
