This course is designed to meet today’s engineering professionals giving them the necessary skills and competencies as managers in an industrial situation, or prepare the individual to further their qualifications. The course builds on the qualifications of a first degree, generally in non-business area to develop creative thinking and the development of leadership and management skills. A wide spectrum of discipline is covered to expose students to business concepts and theories.
Entry Requirements for Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Management
Bachelor degree or Advanced diploma in Engineering or related fields from a recognized Institution OR a Pass degree in Engineering/Applied Sciences from a recognized institution
These are Blended Distance Programmes with combining Online and few face to face sessions that will be conducted at the University Main campus, and ODeL Centres in Mbeya and Mwanza, and at the University Computing Centres in Arusha branch. Furthermore, students will access all learning materials and have online discussions with their lecturers through the Moodle system. Students will have access to the system anywhere via computers and mobile devices connected to the Internet.
Course Structure and Content
Assessment of modules comprises assessable coursework and/or a final written examination. The assessable coursework may include individual and/or group assignments such as project proposals, reports, business plans, written assignments, presentations, essays, case studies, tests, and/or syndicate work which are conducted online via Moodle system. The final examination is conducted at our learning canters in Mwanza, Mbeya, and Dar es Salaam.
